OECD’s Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting report: what companies need to know

Earlier this summer, the OECD unveiled an Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) to serve as a “global roadmap that will allow governments to collect the tax revenue they need to serve their citizens.

As an internationally coordinated effort, the Action Plan is geared primarily towards the updating of tax laws across jurisdictions with the ultimate objective of ensuring that multinationals assume their fair share of taxes. Companies can look forward to profound and far-reaching changes in the international operating environment as and when the Action Plan comes into play.

Michael Schwartz, Partner at WeiserMazars, will deliver a presentation on the latest developments, as well as likely actions by the OECD following consultation in early October with its Business and Industry Advisory Committee, of which Michael Schwartz is a member.
