Stephen Weatherseed, Managing Director of Mazars Hong Kong, warmly endorsed this initiative for the benefit of cross-cultural awareness. Although Mazars is today an international organisation, we have kept strong ties and relations with France, where the Mazars brand was born.
However, with the majority of Mazars Hong Kong staff being local, the exposure to French culture and habits was rather limited. The perfect fit with the Alliance Française’s mission to promote French culture in the local communities motivated our sponsorship; the association would obviously be a door opener to French culture.
In line with Mazars’ global corporate social responsibility policy, an internal programme has already been launched for the Hong Kong staff wishing to discover the complexity of the French language as well as the French mindset and cultural heritage.
