Mazars gives a speech on 'Security regulation and Security audit in China'

Christopher Hock, Manager at Mazars, will give a speech at the 'Security regulation and Security audit in China' seminar organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China.

Programme 

  • Promotion of solely Chinese-owned IP IT systems:  presentation of the recent regulations and impacts for foreign-invested enterprises operating in the PRC - speech by Mr. Mark Rushton from the European Union Chamber of Commerce
  • Implementation of solely Chinese-owned IP IT systems regulations and enforcement by IT security audits*: challenges and risks for foreign-invested companies in China - speech by Mr. Christopher Hock, Head of IT Audit at Mazars

* This includes an introduction into IT audit requirements in China as well as a discussion of practical issues in dealing with Chinese IT security auditors and bridging between Chinese regulatory requirements and international requirements of headquarters in terms of IT security.

Speakers' biographies

Mark Rushton

Mark Rushton has been in China for seven years, previously working as Chief Representative for PA Asia, a Dutch Government Affairs Consultancy, as well as holding jobs at the European Commission-funded EU-China Trade Project, the British trade-related capacity building consultancy, Development Solutions and work for the Economist Intelligence Unit, the consultancy arm of the Economist magazine.

Christopher Hock

As Head of IT (Information Technology) Audit of Mazars China, Christopher has over 6 years of working experience in IT Audit and Internal Control assignments and is Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

He is responsible for planning, performing and managing of IT Audit assignments for numerous sizeable international corporations in a great variety of industries, including service providers of financial institutions. The major clients Christopher has served are BNP Paribas group, Williams Lea (Deutsche Post group), Areva and Dr. Oetker as well as investments and operations of Thales, Air Liquide, Publicis, Schneider Electrics, Nikon, Luzhou Group and Sino-French Life Insurance in China.

Furthermore, Christopher was involved in the design, implementation and effectives testing of SOX compliant Internal Control Systems for several US listed companies.
