Mazars attends the 2010 Shanghai / Paris Europlace forum

Mazars Partners Bryan Chen, Julie Laulusa and Jean-François Salzmann will attend the first joint Shanghai / Paris EUROPLACE Financial Forum to be held at Pudong Shangri-La Hotel on December 1st, 2010.

The Shanghai marketplace is already one of the most prominent financial center in the world in terms of capitalisation and initial public offerings, with its highly competitive financial institutions and professionals. With this background, the Chinese government has set a new ambitious role for Shanghai in its statement dated March the 25th 2009: to become a global financial centre by 2020. The Paris financial center fully supports Shanghai in achieving this goal.

In such context, Paris EUROPLACE, the organization in charge to promote and develop the Paris financial marketplace, and the Municipality of Shanghai will co-host the first joint Financial Forum in Shanghai. The one-day event will be dedicated to "Developing New Cooperation and Business Opportunities between Financial Centers" which will be addressed by markets authorities as well as representatives of asset managers, banks and insurance companies active in China and Europe.

Business opportunities will also be highlighted in the equity and bond markets as well as in private equity and project financing.

This Forum will also be an important occasion for representatives of both Chinese and French financial centers to participate in the meaningful debates before the French presidency of G20 in 2011.

The Shanghai / Paris EUROPLACE Financial Forum in Shanghai 2010 is organized in partnership with BNP Paribas, Caisse des Dépôts, La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, European Institute for Financial Regulation, GDF SUEZ, HSBC, Invest Securities, Institut Louis Bachelier, Cabinet JeantetAssociés, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and with the kind support of the Economic Department of the French Embassy in China.
